TaxPractitioner Board Licensing Units

Keeping your bookkeeping skills current and in compliance with the by obtaining a nationally recognised qualification that’s ideal for bookkeepers who already possess an approved older qualification (other conditions apply – please refer to the Tax Practitioners Board for conditions). These units meet the education requirements of the Tax Practitioners Board for BAS preparers. 

Units of Competency

The Tax Practitioners Board Licensing Units comprises of two units of competency:

  • FNSBKG404A   Carry out Business Activity and Instalment Activity Statement tasks
  • FNSBKG405A   Establish and maintain a payroll system


There are no formal prerequisites for the Tax Practitioners Board Licensing Units.  Please check with the Tax Practitioners Board for whether these units are relevant for your situation.

Nationally Recognised Training

IBI is a nationally recognised Registered Training Organisation governed by ASQA.  This ensures the quality of our training. IBI must satisfy the stringent Standards for NVR Registered Training Organisations.
